Daffs
TUESDAY
A grey, drizzly day with low temperatures and a wind chill.
This afternoon I drove over to Prestatyn for a bit of shopping and some lunch at M&S Café. It was cold enough for the ice warning light to be on in the car.
Afterwards I thought I’d take a walk along Prestatyn’s seafront. It wasn’t exactly beach weather but a couple of brave souls were out swimming in the Irish Sea.
As I arrived back into the village, I was surprised to see a few clusters of daffodils in flower at the side of the lane. Signs of spring seem to get earlier every year: We had lambs born in the village during Christmas week and snowdrops have been out since late December.
