A moment
We did more DIY today. We finished of the water capture device we mostly installed yesterday and then did a few things at my mother-in-law's. First off was a plasterboard fixing that wasn't working and needed to be replaced, then I fitted a light fitting we took out of our house and we managed to reuse at my mother-in-law's. All done without too much cursing and all finger and toes accounted for.
When we were done we took the dog to the beach for his walk. He wasn't very patience and did make it clear our job is to walk him, not do DIY for his mummy...
The main picture is probably the moment of the best light, looking back towards Intra-Muros when I caught a nice bit of colour. The extras are a closer view of town - mysterious but not so pretty, and two shots of the fluffy one - who had a wonderful time as usual.
As you can see the tide was out a fair distance and the beach was pretty empty. It wasn't too bad weather wise so we had a pretty good walk and I even remember to take my dSLR with me rather than my compact.
The lens dates from the era of 35mm film and is still okay, but the sensor on the dSLR is several generations older than the one on the compact which is in many respects quite a bit better. One day I'll by a new generation Canon EOS "R" series but for now I'll keep using my trusty "D" series SLR and the compact.
