The view on the way 
to my mailbox has changed, so
I filed a complaint

I was very slow off the mark this morning. I have no idea how I managed to sleep almost 10 hours, but I'm not complaining. Coffee was much appreciated and enjoyed mid morning. 

I heard the mailman's truck on the street and waited until he'd stopped and left before heading out the door. I have a very short walk to the mailbox at the end of my driveway. I've been sending out postcards as a member of Postcrossing since the end of November. I can look forward to receiving postcards from around the world. Today, there were four lovely postcards from Japan, China, Germany and Australia. 

I had to reflect on my wee trek that the views have changed. My former neighbour across the street went into care last year. His home was sold to a new couple who moved in over the summer. I came back in November  to find a junkyard set up there and frequent 'yard sales' in action. 

Both my neighbours on either side of me are strongly opposed but I doubt either has filed a formal complaint. I did just before New Year's Day. This morning the County office called me to say the neighbour has until February 3 to comply to their order to clear the lot. So, I wait....
