Seeing in the Future?

I had an eye-test this morning and was informed that I was developing cataracts.  Could today's blip be how I will see things in the future?
I am still OK to drive right now but could fall below the threshold in a couple of years.  I have been referred for a more detailed assessment.

Last night was the Photo Soc's third internal competition. I had entered some of my more experimental concoctions with textured overlays to see how they would be received.  I had mixed results.  One of them achieved the lowest score of the night, 12/20.

Fortunately, another came third with 18/20 which rather makes up for the other.
