Dodgy bridge
Everyday we are taking longer to get out of bed and packed up so even though we woke up at six again, it was considerably later when we left.
We were all looking forward to a nice short day.
However we had the worst breakfast ever today! It was disgusting lentil soup made from powder with even worse dried chickpeas in it (this is the only way they are edible)! Food supplies are low so rations were tight and this was all we had left for breakfast.
There was a final leg of uphill over the coll before heading down to Yaylalar. This time we had little paint marks to follow along the rocks.
We arrived at Yaylalar at noon and we went to find somewhere to stay. We had been told it was a big town but it just turned out to be like a big yayla.
We found a pension to stay at and they kindly sat us down on a bench and gave us tea and sweet bread. Then they left us there for 6 hours. We were wondering what was going on when finally one of them offered to show us to our room which was in a lovely wooden bungalow.
One of the beds was on basically a big shelf near the roof but the ladder to get there didn't seem to be long enough so it was a bit of a hassle.
They cooked a delicious tea for us and it was so nice to have a change from pasta with tomato soup as sauce and tuna, that we have been living off for the last few days.
This is a picture of my sister crossing a very wobbly bridge on todays walk.
