New orchid

We like to have a couple of flowering orchids in the house. A 6-inch pot with  a stalk of 4-5 flowers lasts for 1-2 months indoors and costs less than $30. 
I wonder where the flower-sellers get their supplies. Google tells me that the world's top commercial orchid producing countries are, in this order, Thailand, Netherlands, Taiwan, Malaysia and Vietnam. I suspect our supplies, in Australia, come from one or more of the Asian countries listed.
