Shafts of light

It was not so cold this morning and we enjoyed a walk up to an old fortified church and along the gorge behind Rodès. We had a new walker with us today, a friend who plays in the Tennis club. In all we climbed 360 metres and walked 10 kilometres so I should not be too tired for tomorrow’s match. We saw nothing of the sun except for these shafts of light first thing. Nevertheless, it did not rain for which we were very grateful. I inadvertently took a shortcut halfway along the route so we decided to extend the walk along the gorge, something I had not initially planned.
