A day in the life

Ploughing

I slept a really long time this morning, no idea why I don't wake up in my normal around eight time. The misty weather with really low clouds perhaps?

It's not very inspiring but at least I got going playing for a couple of hours before lunch and then trying to make plans for next week when I'm going to pick up my renovated guitar in a city on the west coast of Sweden. I will combine that trip with visiting friends in Skåne, in the south, I think I need to see something different for a while.

This non-winter in January is a bit unusual and I suspect winter will return before March a couple of times, it usually does. But, it's also a good time to do a long drive, no frost, no snow.

During my walk I noticed one of the farmers driving around with a plough attached to his tractor, I've seen newly ploughed fields around here but I  didn't think it was possible to actually start ploughing fields now, in January. I guess they take the chance while the soil is hard enough to carry a tractor this size, to get going with the rest of their preparations a little sooner when spring is here for real and they can start sowing.
