What is this big lump doing in my feeder?

One of the robins was back this afternoon. He had a drink from the birdbath too. This Carolina chickadee looks a little vexed. And - I must add - I have NEVER had a robin actually land in and eat from a bird feeder before. Needs must, I suppose, when 90% of everything is still covered with icy snow!
