ringing

Well it’s been a long, long day, but a full and interesting one :-)

I was up early to catch the 07.58 train from Dumfries, so in London by lunchtime. I spent a happy hour in the British Museum and then walked to Farringdon for the Thameslink to Redhill. Walked another mile to Sarah and Chris’s flat and then Chris and I took Merry up to the woods (another 4.5 miles!)

Sarah arrived home from work, and we had a tasty tea before heading out again - this time to St Katharine’s Church in Merstham, for bellringing practice. I have never touched a bellrope before, but Jack, the tower captain, was an excellent and patient teacher. I think I may be hooked…what great physical and mental exercise! Merry came with us and lay quiet as a church mouse in her bed.

I am definitely ready for my own bed now.
