Westhay Moor Nature Reserve

L & I braved breakfast at the Brewers Fayre next to the Premier Inn in Glastonbury, it was better than we expected but very cold in there.
It was an awful grey & misty day so we decided to go to the Clarks Village but then L didn’t feel too good so we made the decision to head straight home. A few miles into the journey the sun started to break through so we made a detour to Westhay & spent a couple of hours having a walk & some time in the hides. A great egret was feeding on the North pool & a nicely lit cormorant but no unusual birds to be seen although we did hear a bittern.
Home safely & J & I caught up with Silent Witness tonight.
