HUGHES FIRE

When this is the view, down the street,
it may be time to pack the car.
Which I did.

I’m on standby this evening. The smell of smoke is very strong, but the fire is
30 miles (?) or more away from my house.
9400 acres, & increasing.

It’s very windy, so very difficult for the fire fighters to get a handle on it. This
HUGHES FIRE is around a large lake in
LA County, so water is plentiful, but visibility may be a problem.

It will be an anxious night ahead for
anyone nearby. Many people have evacuated.

PS: On a lighter note, my grand daughter
sent a recording of her reading GOLDILOCKS & the THREE BEARS, to me.
I remember reading it many (many!)
years ago.
