St Oswald's well

""For with Thee is the well of light.
And in Thy light shall we see light"

Psalm 3 verse 9.

The Church at Kirkoswald (Church of Oswald) was build in honour of The king of Northumbria, Oswald.

Why it was build in Cumberland I know not.

But it was built above a well, which still has water in it that is used for baptisms in the Church.

My grandparents and Great Grandparents rest here and my parents were married here.

It holds a special place in my heart.

I do no know what drew me here today but something did.

I cannot explain what happened this afternoon but I am not going to question it.

I will, however, appreciate it for the glorious moment it was.
