Our work is done here.
For the last 2 weeks it has been my pleasure and honour to work alongside this amazing group of people.
As you can see there is a mix of ages and the best part has been the development and growth in confidence of the younger members of the team.
Everyone has worked hard to deliver an athlete centred experience.
We have met great athletes and coaches.
We have laughed a lot and we have worked very well together.
After our shift tonight, myself and Freddie (front row, second from the right, next to me) went on a tour of some of the homes from home.
Firstly to England House where there was a good atmosphere. Then to Scotland House because Freddie is Scottish. It was quiet so we headed to South Africa House where we got free beer and heard the most amazing South African singer with his band: the place was rocking. From there we went to Canada House but it wasn't very good at all in there.
So back to Scotland house armed with our free tickets for the concert.
The headline act was Esperanza, and 8 piece band who belted out a load of great music.
Before The Games I hadn't heard of them but I was impressed by them at the opening ceremony rehearsal and they were excellent tonight.
Freddie had to leave to catch the last train home. I didn't look at the timetable, missed the last train so got the night bus instead.
