On This Day

Parus Major

A great tit, one of a flock with bluetits and various finches on the trees and shrubs along Back Walk this morning. I was out early to walk Flora. No lengthen and strengthen class today because the teacher is running a yoga retreat in Morocco. I was disappointed because I found Monday's class hard going and felt I needed some instruction today.

It was a reasonably pleasant walk and with some minor up and down I was happy enough with the 7K steps I clocked up before a cup of coffee. But the constant red weather warnings for tomorrow's storm are niggling me. I can't settle to anything. I just read that schools will be closed tomorrow. Fortunately for my grandchildren each household has a parent who doesn't work on Fridays but some families will be stuck.

I have an appointment with the dentist at the end of the afternoon which will give me another walk. I have to pop in to the library too.

If any Blipper who does family history research has a recommendation for acid free archival folders, pockets and labelling systems I'd be glad to hear about them. Most of my findings are stored electronically but I have a few items and artefacts, for example  photos, letters, certificates etc, which I'd like to keep in hard copy.
