‘Use your loaf’

Our usual Thursday morning early trip to Birstall market.
Second in the queue for fish today. Later on there will probably be 6 or more.
A cold damp morning but fortunately not raining.
Went across to the bakery for our usual currant teacake for breakfast. The shop closed last year and was taken over by the Old Bridge Bakery, Holmfirth.
I noticed a sign for ‘ Austrian Power Loaf”.
and asked what it was, and apparently it is a sourdough granary based bread containing chopped walnuts, grated carrots, and sesame seeds. I said I might try some sometime.
Left the shop and was telling MrC about the bread when the lovely young shop assistant came out and, with a big smile, she gave us a loaf to try. Wasn’t that kind.
So that is my Blip for today.
The bread is delicious.
Had some toasted for breakfast with some of my marmalade.
Will definitely buy some next week.

Not looking forward to storm Éowyn coming tomorrow.
