Anticipating
I hope they'll be here tomorrow! All calm at the mo but the warnings for Éowyn are pretty alarming - tornadic was mentioned (is that even a word?) . All schools closed tomorrow, people told to work at home and many shops not opening until the red storm warning has passed. Originating from the Gulf Of Mexico (no comment needed here) and propelled along the jet steam, Éowyn is due to hit Cork at around 2am and we shall be in the red until 9am. Candles are at the ready and buckets are filled with water - our well has an electric pump so if the electricity goes it goes too. Saint Medard is the man to call upon in situations like this apparently and I wish I'd pocketed a stone at St Berrihert's Well which is also considered useful against storms and shipwrecks.
And on a more jolly note, it's Abstract Thursday's 500th week - well done Ingeborg for keeping us at it.
