In other news, the extra shot is of my first attempt at making baklava, something I've been meaning to try for some time. The results aren't that great, but equally they're not a total disaster, so I shall be persevering as I have another pack of filo pastry in the fridge.

Lastly, the answer to yesterday's mystery object. Of course it was a disposable nose clip which I had to use during a lung function test at Teddington Memorial Hospital. This, together with a rather fetching plastic mouthpiece and a big clear tube that was used with a nebuliser were all going to be thrown straight in the bin. I'm well aware of the need for infection control and the like, but it still seems to me that the NHS could look at sourcing some slightly less environmentally unfriendly kit.
