It’s been cold today .

The photo is of my current hat knitting project , I’m not very keen on it but it was a way of getting back into knitting . Our youngest granddaughter is hardier than us and kept us in the cold and rainy park for longer than really suited us!
We popped into the greenhouse project with her to pick up some snowdrop and daffodil bulbs that have been donated . Freya will help us plant them and hopefully start to build up a picture of how the plant life cycle goes . We also signed up to help out with the Christmas tree planting event on the sand dunes at St Anne’s. It’s a way of helping to stabilise the dune system. We have a child sized metal spade for Freya and I think she will enjoy being part of it . Apart from a trip to the vets , which turned out to be due a week today instead of today we have followed our two year old around attending to her every need . It will be time for a book and bed shortly, it took a few hours for us to thaw out in front of the fire .
