A Topping Day

The last two days have been wonderful. And the response from my blip friends to yesterday's 1095 was out of this world. So many good wishes, hearts, stars and wonderful comments. I cannot thank you enough.

This is my top hat that I wear as part of my costume when I am doing my Victorian guided tours. I have a very small head and NM was doing some adjustments so that it is a snugger fit. As you can see it now fits perfectly.

Inside the hat are details of the retailer; F W Knowles, Chester. The only reference that I can find to them is in a 1906 directory which shows that they were trading from an address at 20 Eastgate Chester in that year.
