Downed

I was taking some shots in a wheat field when I noticed something black over towards the hedge. At first I thought it was rubbish but as I looked I realised it was a bird. Next thought was it must me dead, but no it moved. Quick back to the car to change the wide angle lens and surprisingly it was still there. It sat there with the occasional glance in my direction while I took a few shots.

I think it is a rook rather than a crow. I can't help but think it is not long for this world.
