Spy Valley
Other vineyards are available. A cloudy and much cooler day than yesterday's 30 plus degrees. So we did a little self drive tour of part of the Marlborough wine region. Finished up at Spy Valley Wines which is named after the Waihopai Station further up the valley. This was a satellite listening station for over thirty years. Now dismantled (apparently). The radomes covering the dishes were a target for protests over the years. Some parts were obtained legally to build this sculpture in the grounds of the winery. The wine was good, and the platter too. Extra shows the view across some of the vines towards the hills.
