Look left, look right...
.... then cross the road regardless!
Here in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), there are millions of motorbikes/mopeds. The traffic here is like nothing I have ever seen before. Crossing the road requires strong nerves. Our guide gave us some very useful advice which is not to run, but walk confidently across. That way the traffic will steer around you. It works, and we survived an afternoon wandering the streets. Where there are traffic lights, it is slightly easier, although you still have to watch out for traffic turning in front of you. This shot was taken at a crossing with lights and shows hundreds of mopeds ready to charge.
This morning we visited Cu Chi and the underground tunnels built by the Viet Cong in their struggle against the French and the Americans. Another fascinating and sobering experience. You can actually enter some of the tunnels, and crawl along and emerge 60 meters away. The extra shows me emerging from a tunnel. It's not recommended for any one afraid of the dark or enclosed spaces.
