Inversing The Brothers Beyond, Aylesford

We did our usual run this morning - it wasn't long, or far, or very fast but we got it done and felt better for doing so. As the weather didn't sound too good we decided to just pop down to our local pub, The Chequers, for a drink. 
Afterwards we debated whether to go up to The Friars to get an image or two. We sort of persuaded each other and thought we'd have a go at trying something we saw on a You Tube tutorial by Alan Schaller. If you don't know him I would really recommend  watching a few as he is so knowledgable but also funny and his photographs are superb. We had recently seen his tutorial on silhouettes and chose to try out his technique for using puddles as both a reflection and for getting a great silhouette. I then thought it would be good to play around with the images in photoshop using the inverse negative tool and so here are the two images we worked on. The main image is mine of my brother's silhouette and the extra is my brother's of me (he's Groggster on Blip) - as you can see we made sure to include our cameras in both shots. I really like the spaced out quality of both. Not bad for yet another dingy, mostly grey and sometimes wet day!
