St Ives to Carbis Bay
When we were in Edinburgh, Ann was so bored, she was getting really depressed and unmotivated. Now we've been back in our St Ives home for two months; she's so busy that she doesn't have time to do half the things she wants to/needs to.
Because she works 4 days a week (in a job that she really enjoys), it only leaves three days for us to go off on little adventures together. Today, because she was meeting friends at the 'Harbour Pool & Snooker Club', (check us out and please follow our FB page) for a couple of afternoon drinkies, we couldn't go too far afield for my 11th, 'I Walk Cornwall', walk. We walked from St Ives to Carbis Bay and back and I have to say a lot of the walk was very, very muddy!!!
….............And just look what we saw when we were walking through the woods..................... a blown over tree. Not sure if this happened last night, when 'Storm Eowyn' seemed to be making her presence known, or whether it had happened earlier. Whatever?! It was a pretty big tree that had been uprooted. Fortunately St Ives seems to have missed most of the damage that Storm Eowyn has done.
Anyway, we walked more than 5.5 miles this morning and I'd already had a play on the beach first thing, so I'm a bit tired now. The only problem with today's walk was................... we both got extremely muddy. A lot of the paths weren't paths, they were streams, so I ended up with very muddy paws and a very muddy tummy, and Ann ended up with very muddy walking trainers and jeans. Oh well, hey ho, a challenge isn't a challenge unless it's challenging. 11, 'I Walk Cornwall', walks complete. Only another 89 to go before the end of 2025. Lol!!!!
Teeny weeny RANT coming up.................... Don't think my human has had a rant on BLIP this year.............. In the last week, we have had two friends message us not phone us & talk to us in real life to say that they thought they'd come down to visit us in February because they hadn't seen us for ages and Ann could probably do with the company?! These people know who they are, so we're not posting anything that Ann hasn't said to them in person!!! Maybe she will lose friends because of it. Who knows? They said they understood?!!! Ann doesn't need company. She has me and she has a very busy life in St Ives. She needed company in Oct/Nov when we were in Edinburgh but no one was interested?!!
We are NOT an ALL INCLUSIVE HOLIDAY RESORT!!!
Why do people think, that because we live in a 'desirable location', they can just come and stay whenever they want? …..........Especially when we were in Edinburgh for 6 weeks in Oct/Nov and none of them bothered to even go for a coffee with my human? Ann had so many 'visitors' 2 years ago, that it cost her almost £300 in petrol to pick them up and take them back to Newquay airport.
It's not going to happen again.................... Ann says she's going to be really strict about who comes to stay this year. She LOVES her life in St Ives, she's mega busy, but if so called friends want to come down here and have Ann cook & clean for them while they sit on the sofa playing on their ipads.................. Sorry mates................ My human has a life here, so unless you can provide us with an itinery of what you want to do while you're here, a 'free all inclusive holiday in St Ives' , is not going to happen!!!
OK BIG MAJOR RANT OVER!!!
PS – 'Distillers Girlies', We are soooooooo looking forward to you lot coming down in June.
