Friday: Storm Damage
Storm Éowyn woke us both up at 2am, MrD put his ear plugs in and soon went back to sleep, I’d closed the small window and the wind noise almost disappeared and I fell asleep too :-)
When we got up at 7am, MrD said that my little set of shelves (staging) - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3253801405412017512 - had blown over and my Foxglove and Red Hot Poker seedlings had been scattered across the paving behind the garage, I did a quick rescue - majority of plants safely back in their pots and temporarily in the garage with the staging. Another storm is due Sunday so we’re on standby for that …
Whilst weather was dry I decided to lift up the remaining leeks, I’d fancied Leek & Potato soup which I had for lunch, very satisfying ! :-)
MrD on deliveries and managed to finish early
The birds weren’t bothered by the stormy weather either, just got on with enjoying their sunflower hearts, the pigeons were clearing up any seed which fell to the ground, they were all so busy and making me smile :-)
Had a relaxing afternoon of reading, finishing the current book - need to see what I’ll read next …
This evening we continued watching Series 2 of “Night Agent” which is becoming more and more complicated.
Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
