I completed a course on gate and door safety at work today. It was an all-day remote session which I took alongside one of our engineers.

As I have no experience with this subject, it was a lot to take in and I found it quite difficult! I made around 5 errors in my exams but it was enough to pass!

R, the engineer, somehow made more mistakes than me, despite installing and maintaining gates for the company...

Anyway, it's great to feel like I accomplished something!

A big talking point in the office was the upcoming Storm Éowyn. Over the day, we heard that more and more schools and businesses were closing tomorrow.  Eventually I learned that the busses weren't running in the morning!

Soon, I was told would get a call in the morning on whether I would be coming in or not. Instead, I got a call from one of the owners on the way home saying that the office would be closed. As I have no means of working from home, I get tomorrow off.

Three day weekend!
