Digger
I made it into town this morning through a heavy sleet shower with only a minor slither on parts of the path where there were the dregs of earlier showers. I can image that there was more actual snow out with the city centre but the buses were operating as usual with possibly less people on the hoof.
On the way home with the shopping the sun was out and the world looked a very different place from yesterday. I didn’t see any damage from storm Érowyn on my route although the news will no doubt tell a different tale of other parts of the city.
Daughters 2&3 came for coffee in the afternoon. I had made a special effort to put the heating on and have my virtual log fire blazing in the back ground. I thought it looked and felt very cosy but both of them could not be persuaded to take off their coats. What’s wrong with this younger generation?
I have photographed these shops before just because they brighten up West Nicolson Street , an otherwise dark, unevenly cobbled street. Digger has been in existence I think since the 70s and was a haunt of my teenage daughters. BingTea is a newer addition, an obvious nod to the vast number of Chinese students in the area.
