The long way home...
While large chunks of the country had their travel disrupted by the after effects of the latest storm, us lucky folk in southwest London were treated to extensive rail engineering works, which meant the roads more choked than usual on a sunny Saturday morning, with roughly every tenth vehicle being a rail replacement bus.
What should have been a straightforward train and tube trip for me to north London for lunch with the family was doubled in length by all this nonsense - but it was a very nice lunch, and I managed to palm off the last two days baking output on them.
This rather odd shot is from the top of the 131 bus at South Wimbledon. I rather like it because it shows off the art deco curves of a classic Northern Line station, and the reflections add an air of otherworldliness to the whole thing (ok, I may be pushing it with that last bit!)
