DUMPED

Weather today was calmer and brighter. A lovely change from yesterdays dreadful storm.  Had a nice wander down to the village and back this afternoon to get some food shopping.  Was going to get my repeat prescription but realised the chemist is only open till 1pm on Saturdays so that will have to wait till Monday.

Passed this ironing board in the bushes on my walk.  Its a recent addition to the " landscape ".  Its probably been dumped as opposed to ending up there because of the storm.  Hopefully it won't stay there long.  I gave my shot a ' posterise' effect.  Ive tagged my blip for the Derelict Challenge. Apart from a lot of fallen small branches I didn't see any evidence of storm damage while I was out.

I got home around  3.15pm - and I had missed the first 15 mins of the Newcastle match.  They were playing away at Southampton.  When I checked my phone Newcastle were already a goal down. I switched on my DAB radio to find the commentary was from the Sunderland match.  Newcastle's game was on FM... so I had to find another radio.  Took a while to find it and  by the time I switched it on Newcastle had equalised. Another 2 Newcastle goals followed and the final score was Southampton 1 Newcastle 3.  A good away win for The Toon and a positive sign after last weeks defeat at home.

When the match finished I did a bit of sorting out and managed to gather some things together for a charity bag as well as actually throwing some  useless things in the bin.  ( Im not good at throwing things out.)
