Shoulda Been Here Yesterday

This is the road we should have been on yesterday but Scotland was closed! Storm  Éowyn saw to that. We set off and things were so calm. Who'd have thought? Only sawn off tree trunks and debris on the verges gave witness to the carnage.

I saw the snow covered fells ahead and got the phone out. By the time we got to that white area it was actually snowing. It snowed heavily and was lying on the road. There was a ridge of snow between where the tyres run.

When we saw #2 Daughter we had lunch and thought a trip to IKEA would be a good use of our time. We both wanted one thing each. It's amazing how much we both came away with! You've got to love that store!
