Watch which birdie? Where?

Today was the first of this year's RSPB Bird Watch Surveys. Not a good day with an amber warning for Storm Éowyn. This must be the worst report we have ever sent in.

In the 1 hour shift I was covering I saw 1 Blackbird, 6 Blue tits, 2 Chaffinches, 1 Coal tit, 1 Great tit, 1 Pheasant, 1 Robin and 1 Woodpigeon. A very poor list.

This pheasant probably lives under our holly bush, she's here all the time.

I had to go into the outskirts of town today which was uneventful but the national news used Penrith to represent England and the police had been closing streets. 

Later on, when things were supposed to be calmer I had to take the Jimny to the next village for its MOT. I was blown 2 strides backwards as I tried to get into the Volvo. There were no sticky-out bits for me to grab onto. I banged on the window for help!
