Sun and Fading Tulips
Another gorgeous, blue sky day here in Portland, Oregon. But it was chilly and windy! My son and the grandkids came over for lunch, and they actually stayed longer than usual. We were cleaning out what the kids call their "treasure chest" which is a wicker chest that I keep their toys in. It's not been cleaned out, well, ever, and there was such an accumulation of stuff in there. What we ended up doing was organizing it, since my 7 year-old grandson wouldn't part with a single thing ;-) But we had a grand time doing it. My 11 year-old granddaughter knew what every last little tiny bit belonged to, amazing.
The sun was beaming in my kitchen window and landed on a vase of tulips that had fallen apart on the kitchen counter. Fading tulip season is officially open!
