Dostana
Elaine would love this one too. It stars Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham (the hero and villain from Dhoom, respectively) as Sameer and Kunal - two very macho guys who pretend to be gay in order to snaffle up a luxurious apartment on Miami beach.
They share this apartment with the lovely Neha (Priyanka Chopra) and because she IS lovely, and because male hormones are what they are, complications in the form of stiffies ensue. And then Sameer's mother finds out...
Dostana is a lot of politically incorrect fun, in that the big laughs come from seeing macho dudes camping it up (imagine Nicholas Cage and John Travolta in the leads and you've got the idea). Sameer's tale of how he wooed Kunal is very, very funny and completely over the top (we are talking shy glances, exchanging flowers and matching sailor suits here).
If I were to compare this to a Hollywood film, then probably the closest thing would be "The Birdcage" (Robin William's remake of La Cage Aux Folles - also set in Miami).
"Dostana" is good silly fun that makes no attempt to be anything other than entertaining and boldly plants its flag with an opening song entitled "Shut Up and Bounce", performed by Shilpa Shetty, who does. 7/10
"He's got no ting-tong in his ding-dong."
