Sally Mair - Loving life

New life

I always get excited when an orchid produces a new flowering stalk. This mini one was a gift from Isobel last year so I'm very pleased it's doing so well.
Sunday this morning so off to church. I was serving and doing the chalice so not much time to relax. A good sermon though, touching on things in America as I imagine many did .
Today was the feast of the conversion of St Paul, so lots to be learned there too.
I was saddened to hear of the continuing nastiness in Gaza, petty things that destroy lives and hope - like turning your flock of sheep into a farmer's field of cauliflowers. How could you even think that one up?
This afternoon Katy and family arrived to pick up some bits and pieces. They'd all been at Cammo and got unbelievably muddy so the girls had left their boots in the car and their parents gave them coalie buckies up from the street where the car was parked to our house! Just realised that that word probably refers to the way a bag of coal was carried on your back, it's taken me my whole life to join up those dots!
We had a quiet evening, the week ahead is going to be very busy fitting in everything* need to do before going away. Hopefully I've written them all down and haven't missed anything too major.
