Hedge Trimming Exercise

This hedge is in our back garden and is about 10 feet tall. The large bare area was where our rotten shed used to be, and the patch lower down was trimmed in the autumn.  The plan for today was to trim it all the way to the top. 

I have a petrol hedge trimmer with an extension to reach the top,  but its weighs more than my little muscles like. So by the time I had finished (see the extra) I was knackered!   Then I had to bundle up the cuttings and move them - 5 or 6 trips to nature's compost heap.

Then BrambleBlossom wanted me to cut down an old rose and move the heavy pot it was in. And then we agreed the windows looked awful in the bright sunshine, so I washed the windows.

I thought I was tired after the hedge trimming........but at least we had beautiful sunshine later on.
