Mug Shot
Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,
The Youngest Mini Princess came through from Glasgow on the train today but unfortunately it was delayed en route. She sent a message to the family group chat updating us:
“Hello family just realised my train is delayed (how do trains even get delayed if there is no traffic?) so it’s saying it will get in at 12:55.”
Followed by a further message explaining the problem:
“This issue is the train keeps slowing down, they should let me drive it and we would get there much faster because I would actually use acceleration.”
We were crying. I suggested that ScotRail might headhunt her!
Thankfully the train made it to Edinburgh and the four of us went for a fab lunch in Six By Nico with the unexpected entertainment of 3 women at a table near us who were completely unaware that everyone around them could hear every word of their conversation. On account of them all shouting! We became quite invested. One of them was very annoyed as she’d recently received a bonus of £1900 but she was going to have to give £1000 back. The outrage!
We went back to the house where I opened my (early) birthday presents from the Mini Princesses.
I now have another 2 mugs for my collection which I love with the added bonus of The Prince’s bewilderment over more mugs entering the house. He waited at least a minute before stating that we have to have a mug clear out as there’s no more room.
I had a brilliant early birthday. And there’s always room for more mugs!
