Trucks

Our daughter had a bit of a disrupted night with the young man being unsettled. So I was round bright and sharp to take over and give her a rest.

Lots of book reading and playing with bricks, drawing, watching CBBC, etc. “Trucks” is the latest attempt at a word so these books provide a fascination.

Despite his early start, a long walk by the river Lune ( which was running high with the tide in) did not lead him to dropping off. Probably because we saw lots of trucks, vans, cars and buses en route. Only a second outing after lunch succeeded in getting him to sleep.

By that time my brother in law had arrived on a visit so the rest of the afternoon and evening was spent catching up and then, after dinner, settling down and, for my wife and myself, packing before leaving tomorrow..
