Come Rain, Come Shine

Today has been a day of two distinct halves. Well, of early morning & the rest of the day!

I sprang out of bed to the rumbling of thunder & raced to the door to see what the commotion was all about. What followed was a sudden & heavy down pour, bouncing off the roof tops & the concrete. It was quite refreshing & as always, is a bit of wonder to watch. You can't beat some thunder & lightning too!

Once the sheet rain had passed, the blue skies of the afternoon could be seen peeping through the dark clouds, along with an airplane, most likely on route a more predictably & consistently sunny place.

We had a cheeky (& now weekly) trip to the pub for a little drinky & to toast the end of another week. Joy! And very nice it was too. We had quite the murder of bank employees (all temps now that I think about it - we really are the driving force) enjoying a liquid lunch.

It wasn't the last gin & tonic of the weekend, & I suspect it won't be the last.

Before I leave you for the evening, I must share the exciting news that a third series of Sherlock will be coming to telly's near you soon, and, even more thrilling... the new Doctor (Who), it has been revealed, will be unveiled on Sunday evening.
