I don't know why but I just like this shot, reminds me that there is real life going on in Venice not just tourism...
Last full day today so a little less rushed. We headed over to the Marc Quinn exhibition at the Giorgio Cini Foundation. Very interesting exhibition, especially liked the polished shell sculptures. www.marcquinn.com/exhibitions/
On the side of the canal is the large inflatable version of the Alison Lapper sculpture that was used at the opening to the Paralympic games last year.
We then took a boat trip round and down the Gran Canal, taking lots of photos and studying the guide book on the way. Then off to have a look at Lido for a change of scene (there were cars!)
Dinner, a last walk up to Piazza San Marco then back to pack for tomorrows trip home. :-(
