Today everyone searched their job descriptions to make sure the words “diversity” “gender” “inclusion” and the acronym “DEIA” were not in them and reported ourselves (!!!!) if they were. They are not in my job description. 

My group’s institutional service contractors spent the whole day wondering if, when their contracts are paused, they will get paid. Tonight some of them received notice to not come in tomorrow. I’m hearing they will not be paid during the furlough. 

Today the message went to all of USAID that the ethics lawyer and employment law lawyer are on administrative leave while they are investigated for hindering White House plans. 

Tonight my father in law urged me to resign from the gender sexual minority employee resource group board immediately. I said no. I said that when they decide to fire you appeasing them will not save you and it is important to be able to hold your head up while you walk down the streets.

The notice that told employees to report on each other has him devastated. 

Tonight the company on the project I’m working on was told to stop working. 

Ukraine burned up 882,000 tons of Russian fuel reserves! Ukraine has been attacking Russian bases that have aviation fuel stored. It could have supported up to 900 combat missions. The Tu-22M3 bombers use 6 tons of fuel per hour. The fires were so intense they were visible from space. The Tu-22M3 bomber can carry up to 26.5 tons of armament so it was a serious threat. It can carry missiles that are particularly hard for Ukraine to defend against. This is a clever strategy for dealing with that. 

Ukraine intercepted 50 Russian drones of 72 Russia launches. They also attacked one of Russia’s largest oil refineries. 

The leader of Hungary, Victor Orban, objected to new sanctions on Moscow. The EU has made a last-minute deal to renew them for six months. It involved threats, just like last time. “If … really blocks European sanctions at a key moment for the war, it’ll be absolutely clear that in this big game for the security and future of Europe, he is playing in Putin’s team, not in ours. With all the consequences of this fact,” Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote. 

Ukraine struck a drone storage facility and destroyed 200 Shaheds. Those are the drones Iran designed and provided and then Russia started making.
