Stumped

You think you've seen and heard everything and then you see something that just beggars belief. The essence of this notice is that some deranged bunch of lumberjacks are going around illegally felling trees - three in the last 10 days at this site. I'm no expert but, judging by the cut surface, this tree at least has been cut down with a chainsaw. Which is worrying on a couple of levels. Firstly that there are people malicious enough to want to cut down healthy trees but perhaps more worrying is that there are fruitcakes out there mad enough to do this who have chainsaws.

On a lighter note, I spoke to Paddy the Warden and he reckons it's tree fellers doing this. At least I think that's what he said.
