Quince experiment - day 4

I finally got around to processing the quince today.  It probably should have been yesterday, but I wasn't planning to use the oven.  These are the drained slices ready to go into a very low oven (70C) for 2-3 hours to dry them.  The liquid was saved, boiled and bottled.

Confession: I succumbed to temptation and had some of the syrup on a very small bowl of ice cream late last night. I think this experiment is going to be added to the recipe collection. If anyone else wants to try it, the recipe is here:
