Landward…

…after the excitement of a big day out in the city yesterday I decided, over breakfast with the birds, that it was time to tackle the veg patch earmarked for a polytunnel or greenhouse. The area in question is full of mature field bindweed roots (that often happens when you live near fields or railway embankments) and so this is start of a never-ending battle that will see me out. The best I can hope for is relative control.

Whilst happily digging and listening to the birdsong in hedges around the hood, my attention was drawn to a sizeable patch of these wee early flowering fellows which look set to drop soon. I also noticed some brown stains in the grass which I assume are the handiwork of the cat next door, emboldened now that Sparky is no longer around to sort it out.

I also listened to an interesting podcast about what happens to domestic inflation when any economy restricts labour and applies tariffs. We’ll see what the next two years brings in the world outside of Bozzels.
