A Roadside Spray Painted Cactus

Not a huge amount to report today as we only headed out for the usual Sunday food shop and our customary pint at The Horseshoes - where we confirmed to the bar staff that we were definitely not partaking in Dry January.
The weather had been rubbish again all day but for some reason I thought it was a good idea to head out on a rain soaked late afternoon solo local photographic safari. If anything the rain started to come down even harder after I'd only walked about half a mile but as I was already drenched by this point I just decided to plough on.
I took some really terrible shots (you could argue this is one of them!) but I liked this one of a spray painted hieroglyph - denoting what I don't know - that to me looks like a bright crimson cactus and the way the flash has bounced off the slickly wet road surface, with its accompanying double yellow lines, giving it an almost glittery feel.
By the time I got back I looked like a drowned rat but I felt oddly refreshed and was glad that I'd not given into the usual Sunday afternoon inertia.
