Off to the islands
A mixed day of weather today. I had a lot to do for the Photo Club - firstly getting the last images ready for the Frank Walton inter-club competition. The rules are quite fussy and I want to make sure I get it right - I'll check up on a few things at the meeting tonight.
Then tonight is the final hand-in for our next competition, 'Graveyards', so I've been putting that together too. In spite of my frequent requests I still get pictures sent to me hours after the deadline when the competition subjects have been known since last March!
It rained a bit this morning, but I had a break after lunch and went for a walk around the local roads while the sun was out. A big oak tree was down not far away - it had fallen down the bank so wasn't a problem for the road. A local journalist has asked me to write a piece about the value of oak trees so that's another job for tomorrow.
Coming back along Duncraggan Road I spotted the 'Isle of Mull' heading off towards the Lismore light, so that's my Blip today. Maybe not the highest quality as it was full telephoto. I think that's the Chugging Bathtub arriving from the distant left.
The sun was still shining from a clear blue sky when I arrived home, so I sat outside with a book - and a jacket - for nearly 15 minutes until it suddenly began to rain! Roll on springtime!
