Hammersmith

My hotel was ever so easy to find last night - I just had to turn left at the flyover and walk until I saw it.  The return walk this morning was a bit more interesting in the daylight - some nice street art and plants offsetting the grimness a bit.

Our all-staff in-person day today - we were in a hired venue at Smithfield in the morning, then walked over to our new office in the afternoon, for another couple of sessions and a 'social' at the end of the day.  All fine, but pretty exhausting.  Nice to see everyone, but if I'm honest I'm a bit disillusioned with it all the moment.  I left at 5pm with another Anna (until recently 'the' other Anna, but now we have yet another one!)', and we hotfooted it over to Liverpool Street, where I caught the train to Paddington and she went on to Euston.  

My train was a little delayed leaving Paddington, and then got more and more so as it crawled along at the start.  That resulted in me missing my connection at Exeter and getting back an hour late.  Lovely Tim came and picked me up from Barnstaple, and we stayed up a while longer when we got in (gone 11pm), so it was rather a late one.
