Colour Change
I love the bright colours that some of the pottery glazes create. Maybe that love comes from my joy in the bright colours of many of the flowers on plants that I grow. (Mum loved bright colours too so perhaps it's inherited!) Crocus suaveolens pictured has one of the most striking colour changes in the bulbs that I grow. The creamy yellow on the outer surface of the buds with their dark stripes, opens to reveal the bright purple inside. Beautiful.
A brighter day once the early mistiness cleared, blue sky and sunshine for a riverside walk with C and the Megs, an extra pic captures the light. We were warm as we returned, the sun higher in the sky. From there I dropped in for the last hour at the morning pottery session, catching up with a few friends.
After lunch I spent an hour in the greenhouse, some clearing and sorting needed there as well as indoors. My dog door alarm told me that the supermarket delivery had arrived after which I popped back to pottery with a couple of dry pieces, just in time to help the person loading the kiln. I completed the glazing on some more samplers while I was there too.
A quiet night in seems to have passed without me achieving much ... but that's what quiet nights in should be like I guess!
