Wide Wednesday…

I rarely attempt landscapes so don’t often participate in the Wide Weds challenge, but thought I’d give it a go today. The image is just taken with my iPhone, and it’s a spot I frequently visit as it is along a trail where I take Jax for snifaris. The expanse of snow/ice is a favorite lake that I like to kayak in. Recently it has been a favorite spot for ice fishing (not for me!). I found myself longing for warmer temps as I looked out over the expanse.

I met up with my 4 birding friends this morning and although the temps were somewhat warmer than they’ve been recently, the winds were gusting up to 40 mph which made it feel pretty darned cold. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed several miles of trails and a decent assortment of birds. And afterwards, we headed to a local diner for lunch. A very fun day. Tomorrow is my birthday, the last of my 60’s. Where has the time gone???
