Moor Divock Avenue
A bit of a different wander up Askham fell this time. I decided to follow the Moor Divock Avenue from the Cop Stone to the burial cairn of White Raise before heading off for usual wander to my favourite cairn.
The extra picture is of the empty cist at White Raise Cairn, when it was excavated in the 1800's they found the body of a crouched man in the cist. As it's now empty it makes me wonder why didn't they put the bones back as a mark of respect and what happened to the bones.
